Hi, I’m Bo — a local living in Seoul. Welcome, and thank you for choosing my city for your trip.
Seoul With Me is one simple idea: a local friend who answers one real question at a time — no giant checklists, no hype. Just clear, honest help so your first trip feels easy from the moment you land.

If you read only one page before your trip, I’d love it to be this one.
Start here: 3 decisions before you land
Sort these three things first. Everything else about Seoul gets easier once they’re set.
1. How you’ll leave the airport
Decide your Incheon → city ride before you land — not next to your suitcase.
2. Which area you’ll stay in
Pick the neighborhood first, then the hotel. The right area makes every day lighter.
3. Your transit card
T-money or Climate Card? One tap-and-go card covers subway and bus across the city.
Once these three are clear, Seoul stops feeling like a puzzle.
3 rules for a smooth first trip
You don’t need a rigid itinerary. You need a gentle rhythm.

Then enjoy the fun part
Once the basics are handled, the city opens up: K-beauty and small gifts, food you flew here for, palaces, cafes, pop-ups, or just walking until a neighborhood you couldn’t pronounce yesterday feels familiar.
Start with the Travel Tips guides, and browse Food & Restaurants for local meals. Every guide here is written to answer one real question clearly — that’s the whole promise of this site.
Thank you for loving Korea
It genuinely means a lot that you’re spending your trip here. This site grows from real visitor questions — so if you want me to cover a neighborhood, restaurant, cafe, shop, or anything about Seoul, just tell me. I read every message.

FAQ
Is Seoul easy for first-time visitors? Yes. Seoul is safe, connected, and visitor-friendly — the only busy part is arrival day, which is why sorting the airport transfer, hotel area, and transit card in advance makes the whole trip smoother.
Where should I stay in Seoul for my first visit? Myeongdong is the easiest all-around base for most first-timers. Hongdae, Jongno, Insadong, and Gangnam also work well depending on whether you care more about nightlife, traditional sights, shopping, or modern Seoul.
How many days do I need in Seoul the first time? Three full days give you a real taste. Four or five feels more relaxed, with room to mix classic sights, food, shopping, and slower neighborhood time.
Start with the basics, leave room for curiosity, and take the city one clear step at a time. See you in Seoul. — Bo
